Here we have a nice Godfrey Phillips Cigarette silk from the 1915 Crests and Badges of the British Army series
Measuring approx. 7x5cm and in very good condition (See Pic)

Godfrey Phillips Limited was registered in 1908 to acquire the Import and Export Business of
Godfrey Phillips and Sons founded 1844......It was shortly after this they began producing Silks
alongside thier famous cards.....They operated from Commercial Street London and had factories
in Edinburgh,Bombay, Colombo, Melbourne and Wellington.
Godfrey Phillips also absorbed many other firms and had a number of Subsidiaries, the main ones
are listed here below..
